Strong commitment to quality and sustainability
Mbizi Safari is a family owned company that supplies exclusive hardwood, sourced from the forests of our 17,500 hectare, Forest Stewardship Council®, (FSC® certified farm, located in Zambia´s eastern region. We also have two retailer companies named Mbizi Wood AB, located in Sweden and Mbizi Wood EOOD, located in Bulgaria to facilitate for the European market.
Our company is unique in that all our wood is directly sourced from our farm, creating a producer to buyer supply chain that ensures that all industry regulatory and compliance practices are strictly adhered to whilst allowing us to deliver high quality products. Thus, a strong commitment to sustainable harvesting is at the core of our operations. We specialise in supplying companies, worldwide, with premium wood used in the manufacturing of various products from flooring, decking, bespoke furniture and exclusive interior details.
Our history
Mbizi Safaris wood department was born out of a passion for high-quality, sustainably sourced hardwoods. For us it is crucial to showcase transparency, and we are therefore very proud to have full control from the selection of trees for harvesting to delivering the products to our clients. This oversight over the entire supply chain ensures that we can effectively guarantee adherence to best practices. Being a family owned business we are dedicated to building strong relationships with our clients by delivering exceptional products through personalised service.
Community engagement
- Supporting local communities: The farm Mbizi Safari in Zambia work closely with local communities and have a close cooperation with the nearby villages. Up to date Mbizi Safaris have contributed and financed the following projects; Chinambi School, N´gamba School, Chinambi medical clinic + medical equipment, Water Boreholes within Luembe Chiefdom and Road developments.
- Local employeer: Mbizi Safaris is also the largest employer in the region with 84 employees. Our commitment to ethical business extends to fair wages and safe working conditions for all our employees and partners.
